Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role: 

The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) is seeking a Secondary Triage Manager (STM) based in Auckland. This manager will lead a group of Registered Health Practitioners joining our team as Secondary Triage Clinicians ensuring they are well supported and enabled to deliver secondary triage activities in line with our national strategy and directives.

This position would suit a person who has some knowledge of the IOC Clinical Hub processes with experience in operational leadership and who is passionate about clinical excellence. 


Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you must be able to actively promote clinical excellence through the maintenance of your own clinical skills and be a strong people leader. You will be part of the management for performance and development within the Secondary Triage team.  

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Registered Health Professional with current ATP of Paramedic or ability to gain ATP.
  • Significant experience in Ambulance Operations Management particularly in challenging and technology driven environments
  • A background in leadership / supervision preferably in an emergency service.
  • Proven experience at a tactical and or clinical level with the ability to focus on operational detail and execute strategy informed by a strong understanding of clinical matters and specific in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing health and social care.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively on complex issues verbally and in writing.
