You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client is a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Nigeria. Due to expansion they are in need of a Commis Chef.
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and cooking food items under the supervision of senior chefs.
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
Ensure that mise en place (food preparation) is completed for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Assist with stock rotation proper storage and minimizing food wastage.
Learn and apply cooking techniques across different sections of the kitchen (grill pastry sauces etc.).
Adhere strictly to HACCP GMP and hotel safety guidelines.
Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
Take responsibility for assigned tasks and proactively seek guidance for skill development.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts Catering or related field (a degree is a plus).
1 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant environment (internship/industrial training may be considered).
Basic knowledge of cooking methods kitchen equipment and food safety practices.
