We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for one of the best Nursing Homes in Co Cork who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social physical and mental stimulation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the person in charge or the unit manager in providing direct resident care as well as clinical and professional leadership of the care staff.
- Make sure each person is acknowledged as an individual and that their needs rights and comfort are prioritised when providing care.
- Build rapport with residents to support their autonomy well-informed decision-making and evidence-based decision-making.
- Promote and uphold resident safety while delivering high-quality care by honouring each residents rights privacy and dignity.
- Increase the residents ability to make their own decisions and exercise personal autonomy.
- Make sure that every residents age gender sexual orientation handicap family status civil status race religion and ethnic and cultural background are all respected in the way the home is run.
- Together with every member of the multidisciplinary care team plan evaluate and provide resident care that maximises the residents ability to exercise personal autonomy and choice.
Requirements
- A general nurse or psychiatric nurse who is registered or eligible to be registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Irelands Register of Nurses.
- Two years or more of postgraduate experience working as a senior staff nurse or certified nurse manager
- Qualifications for a Post Graduate Diploma in Gerontology Management
- Experience in gerontology
- Experience in Psycho Geriatric Nursing Care/Psychiatry/Adult Disabled.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the ageing process.
