Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Pacific Time (30-minute unpaid lunch 2 10-minute paid breaks)
Total Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Our client is seeking a Spanish Bilingual Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff ensuring smooth office operations and an excellent patient this role you will primarily manage insurance authorizations and patient scheduling serving as a key point of contact between the office patients and external facilities. This position is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare and skilled in communication organization and multitasking.
Responsibilities
Manage patient scheduling reminders rescheduling and provider calendars
Handle patient communications (phone voicemail text email portal)
Process intake forms insurance verification prior authorizations and referrals
Maintain accurate EMRs including operative reports pathology labs imaging and outside records
Assist with billing support: charge entry denial follow-up pre-authorizations coordination with billing staff
Coordinate procedure preparation and follow-up sending instructions and confirming readiness
Draft and route letters/forms to patients referring physicians and insurance carriers
Monitor results for timely provider review of pathology imaging and lab reports
Support compliance initiatives including HIPAA adherence and office logs
Facilitate telehealth workflows and document encounters
Perform additional administrative or medical office support tasks as needed
Requirements
ECW (eClinicalWorks) experience required
2 years handling medical insurance authorizations
Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
Comfortable managing high call volumes and emails
Strong multitasking organizational and prioritization skills
Experience in fast-paced medical office settings
Responsible dependable and willing to work extra hours as needed
