You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Corporate Counsel youll apply your strong legal expertise and understanding of our business to provide clear practical advice that supports our purpose of protecting what matters most. Acting as a subject matter expert youll work independently and collaboratively to navigate legal and regulatory complexities contributing to a high-performing legal team. With a focus on partnership youll build strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders to deliver effective solutions-focused outcomes.
In This Role You Will:
Manage litigated matters in collaboration with external legal partners
Oversee external dispute resolution cases including those with AFCA and similar bodies
Provide timely legal advice and support to claims underwriting and other business units
Deliver legal training to enhance capability within the claims and underwriting teams
Advise risk and compliance teams on obligations under the Life Insurance Code of Practice
Support the Internal Dispute Resolution team with legal guidance
Collaborate with other legal teams to review product documentation and related materials
