Job Summary

About the Opportunity

A healthcare provider operating in the private tertiary women s health and maternity services sector in India. We deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynaecologic care ranging from routine antenatal services to emergency obstetric interventions within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

We are hiring an on-site Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to lead clinical care surgical services and mentor junior clinicians in a high-volume hospital setting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynaecologic care including antenatal intrapartum and postnatal management.
  • Perform elective and emergency operative procedures such as caesarean sections and essential gynaecologic surgeries with adherence to perioperative protocols.
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate multi-disciplinary care with neonatology anaesthesia and critical care teams.
  • Lead labour ward activities: supervise deliveries interpret fetal monitoring and respond to obstetric emergencies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors nursing staff and trainees; contribute to clinical audits case reviews and quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate medical records ensure guideline-based clinical documentation and support departmental protocols for patient safety and infection control.

  • Hysteroscopy
  • Colposcopy
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Essential Qualifications

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification.
  • Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or respective State Medical Council.
  • Proven clinical experience as a consultant in a tertiary or high-volume maternity hospital; demonstrable experience managing obstetric emergencies and operative deliveries.
