Job Summary
Respond to on-call alerts in the event of production server failures. You will be expected to take all necessary actions to resolve the issue and return the service to a normal state. On-call responsibilities may extend beyond normal office hours.
Review and approve merge requests from Operational Team applying run books and automation components.
Provide recommendations on query optimization to engineers from other teams.
Review current documentation and keep it in actual state.
Support existing automation tune and fix when necessary. Design and develop new automation components and features.
Qualifications :
4 years of professional experience on MySQL.
4 years of database performance tuning.
4 years of query optimization including recommendations on indexes and schema design for application teams.
Experience with data security practices such as encryption password rotation policies and setting user permissions.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Teamwork.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Its a bonus if candidate has experience with these
Knowledge of one major programming language like Java or Python.
ProxySQL or MySQL Router.
Percona Monitoring & Management (PMM) and other monitoring tools.
Percona Toolkit suite.
Cloud Services such as AWS and RDS Azure GCP.
