Primary Job Title: Linux Systems Engineer (VMware)

We are hiring an on-site Linux Engineer to operate and optimise VMware-based virtualised environments at our India facilities. This hands-on role is ideal for engineers who excel at systems reliability automation and virtualization in enterprise settings.

Role & Responsibilities

Design deploy and maintain Linux server environments (production and DR) running on VMware virtualization platforms.
Provision and manage VMs templates snapshots resource pools and implement HA/DRS and storage policies in vSphere/vCenter.
Automate configuration and lifecycle tasks using Bash Ansible and Terraform to deliver repeatable infrastructure-as-code workflows.
Monitor system health perform capacity planning and troubleshoot performance storage networking and kernel-level issues to meet SLAs.
Execute patching security hardening backup/recovery and DR runbooks; remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance controls.
Collaborate with platform network and application teams to onboard workloads document runbooks and support incident response for production systems.
