Job Description
This is a remote position.
Job Highlights:
- Contract type: Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM 5:00 PM AEST)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing coding and maintaining high-quality responsive websites and web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences while ensuring best practices in performance security and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications.
- Collaborate with designers project managers and other developers to ensure technical feasibility and high-quality delivery.
- Translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into functional code.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance scalability and cross-browser compatibility.
- Integrate APIs and third-party tools as needed.
- Debug and resolve technical issues ensuring smooth functionality across platforms.
- Maintain documentation of code processes and systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends new technologies and best practices in web development
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Web Developer (minimum 2 3 years preferred).
- Strong proficiency in:
- Front-end: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript (ES6) React Angular or .
- Back-end: PHP Python or similar.
- Databases: MySQL MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress Drupal etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with responsive design frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap Tailwind CSS).
- Understanding of version control systems (Git GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
