Consultant Physician General Medicine (MD/DNB)

Healthcare Clinical Services On-site care in Patan Gujarat. We are a patient-focused clinical services provider delivering secondary and tertiary general medicine care emergency stabilization and coordinated multidisciplinary treatment for adult patients. This on-site Consultant role combines inpatient outpatient and emergency responsibilities to maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment diagnosis and evidence-based management for adult patients in inpatient and outpatient settings including discharge planning and follow-up.
• Lead daily ward rounds manage medical admissions coordinate multidisciplinary care and expedite specialty referrals where required.
• Deliver on-call emergency coverage for acute medical presentations provide initial critical-care stabilization and escalate to specialty teams as needed.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors interns and nursing staff; ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safe prescribing practices.
• Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation in EMR; order and interpret investigations and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in clinical governance activities including audits morbidity & mortality reviews guideline development and infection-control initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MD (General Medicine) or DNB (General Medicine) from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Medical Council of India or relevant State Medical Council.
• Proven experience managing acute medical admissions and common internal medicine conditions in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and clinical documentation workflows.
• Strong diagnostic skills including ECG interpretation and basic ventilator management.

Preferred

• Experience in supervising residents or delivering medical education and bedside teaching.
• Competency in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for focused clinical assessment.
• Demonstrated involvement in quality improvement clinical audits or guideline development.
