Job Summary

F Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected accountancy practice in Paddock Wood seeking a Senior Practice Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a varied general practice role covering accounts tax primarily but with exposure to bookkeeping and VAT work too. his role could suit someone looking for a stable senior accountant position providing autonomy and responsibility or a driven professional seeking a pathway to partnership within five years. The direction will depend on your aspirations and performance. The firm supports professional development including study support and offers hybrid and flexible working options. Both full time and part time applicants will be considered.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare accounts from client records including liaising with clients to obtain necessary explanations and information for sole traders partnerships limited liability partnerships and companies ensuring they are ready for review.
Provide clients with year-end adjustments and guidance to update their systems once accounts are finalised.
Assist Directors in the preparation of tagged accounts for submission with Corporation Tax returns.
Offer bookkeeping advice and support to clients as required.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
Prepare monthly CIS returns.
Provide support to other team members as needed.

Requirements

4 years accounting experience within an accountancy practice environment.
Experience of Microsoft Excel QuickBooks Xero Sage and Iris would be a significant advantage.
Good organisational and multi-tasking skills.
Accurate data entry skills are essential.
Excellent computer skills.
Strong communication skills.

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senior or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
