Energetic and passionate group seeks to add an additional member to their reliability engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our electrical transmission systems. As a Reliability Engineering Associate you will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing the reliability of our substation transmission infrastructure identifying and mitigating potential risks and developing strategies to improve overall system performance.
You will be trusted to:
Asset Monitoring and Analysis:
- Continuously monitor the performance and reliability of the transmission substation equipment.
- Analyze data and reports related to equipment outages and incidents to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies to prevent failures.
- Develop scripts apps dashboards and database environments (Power Bi Power Apps Python SQL) to leverage various data sources into actionable tasks.
- Create tools and strategy automations to reduce manual processes while increasing reliability of the equipment and system.
Maintenance Planning:
- Work closely with maintenance teams to plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Develop maintenance procedures and optimize maintenance intervals to ensure equipment reliability.
Failure Analysis:
- Investigate and analyze equipment failures or incidents to determine root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of future failures.
Asset Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare critical transmission assets.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations maintenance and construction to achieve reliability goals.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop innovative solutions to enhance system reliability.
Group Dynamics:
- Hybrid Remote and Office Schedule
-Work closely with a team of 7 Engineers day-to-day collaborating socializing eating lunch together and working towards making LCRA a premier public power provider while having fun along the way.
You qualify with:
- Bachelors degree in engineering engineering technology engineering physics biosystems engineering mathematical science physical science or related science.
- Drivers license
You are a great fit with:

Skill in Python SQL Power Apps Power BI
Electrical Mechanical Engineering Degrees Preferred
Computer Science Industrial Aerospace Petroleum Engineering Degrees Accepted
