We are seeking a bold entrepreneurial leader to serve as Associate Director/ Site Leader responsible for running South Elgin end-to-end while overseeing Greensboro through direct report(s). This is a unique opportunity to shape one of Wayfairs largest middle mile facilities influence cross-site operations and set the benchmark for excellence in our global network.
This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on Wayfairs customer promise.
What Youll Do
In this role you will serve as Leader of Stand Alone Middle Mile Sites with responsibility for multiple sites (directly / indirectly owning one or more sites in the future) accountable for performance people and process excellence across both.
- You will share your time between South Elgin & Greensboro (85%)
- South Elgin - Top 3 Middle Mile Operations by volume and largest Deluxing operations
- Greensboro - Medium sized Middle Mile Operations and Top 3 CoLo HDO or Top 15 global HDOs
- Ensure these sites become a benchmark for quality efficiency and associate engagement in the global network.
- Ensure consistency in processes culture and engagement while ensuring flawless execution
- Drive turnaround initiatives
- Build coach and inspire a large team of managers supervisors and team leaders to deliver outstanding results in safety quality cost and customer experience.
- Serve as an escalation point and support the site leader(s) in driving improvements and maintaining excellence.
- Strategic Roadmap & Cross-Functional Collaborations (15%)
- Develop and maintain the SA MM roadmap aligned to broader T&D strategy guided by your manager.
- Be responsible for delivering on STO/FRM commitments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Safety Facilities & Maintenance Tech Performance Analytics Transportation and external vendors to prioritize and execute network-wide projects.
- Represent South Elgin and Greensboro in senior leadership discussions influencing decisions that impact both sites.
- Remote & Cross-Time Zone Leadership
- Lead teams and partners across different time zones ensuring clear communication alignment and engagement despite distance.
- Balance frequent travel (50%) with strong remote leadership practices to maintain accountability and connection.
What Youll Bring
- Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree required; Masters in Supply Chain Business or related preferred.
- 10 years of progressive leadership in large-scale operations ideally in e-commerce consumer products or logistics.
- 7 years managing large teams and senior leaders with proven success in multi-site leadership change management and operational turnaround. Specifically leading driving step change and continuous improvement in front-line operations.

- Lead front-line operations including labor planning change management and continuous improvement
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to synthesize metrics and analytics into clear insights and actions ensuring decisions are objective and grounded in facts. Strong analytical problem-solving skills able to connect data insights with operational outcomes.
- Radical Candor: Communicates with transparency honesty and respect giving direct feedback while showing care for people.
- Accountability & Rigor: Holds teams and leaders to high standards ensuring commitments are delivered with consistency and quality.
- Cross-Functional Agility: Skilled at building strong partnerships with Talent Safety Facilities Maintenance Tech and external vendors to resolve blockers and drive results.
- Inspirational leader with experience developing Supervisors Managers and Sr Managers and scaling site culture.
- Thrives in fast-paced ambiguous environments balancing execution with long-term strategy.
- Confident communicator and influencer with senior stakeholders both locally and remotely.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range (or base pay) for this position is $176700 - 193800; however base pay offered may vary depending on location job-related knowledge skills and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and other benefits depending on the position offered.
