Job Summary
The team at New Zealand Couriers are looking for a positive enthusiastic person to join our fleet on a fixed term agreement within the Mt Eden and Central Auckland region while we manage a seasonal increase in freight volumes.
This is a FIXED TERM position and is not a permanent position. This fixed term is for approximately 10 weeks with work available until Wednesday 24 December 2025.
This position is challegning it requires you to be at our Penrose depot every morning rain or shine at 6.30am - If this doesnt sound like you then please do not apply.
- Immediate Startavailable to the right candidate.
- Full training provided
- Mon-Fri 6.30am - 6.00pm (55 Hours per week)
- No Weekendwork required
- Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour 8% Holiday pay (Paid weekly)
You must have transportation to / from Penrose for this role where you will start and finish your day.
Duties include:
- Driving an automatic transmission Toyota Hiace van.
- Picking up and delivering freight in the Central Auckland region
- Assisting with urgent deliveries and depot duties if/where required.
The ideal applicant will:
- be able to confidently drive a automatic transmission van.
- Have a full clean driver licence.
- Have confident communication skills.
- Have geographic knowledge of the Central Auckland region/suburbs.
- Have previous freight experience (not essential).
- Be able to manage a diverse range of duties.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Be physically fit Some heavy & repetitive lifting required (up to 25kg).
- No prior injuries.
- Reliable Punctual and Honest.
