JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Building Manager for a high-rise residential building with 233 units located in Vancouver. This is a full-time position where the Building Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between residents the strata council and the property manager while also overseeing the cleaning maintenance and overall daily operations of the building to ensure a high standard of service and resident satisfaction.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and supervise the site.
Perform minor handyman repairs. Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling room.
Provide basic security duties including checking doors and reporting suspicious activity.
Handle key holding and alarm response. Program fobs and enterphones.
Call trades in the event of elevator malfunctions floods plumbing issues or emergencies involving police fire or ambulance.
Coordinate and log move-in/move-out bookings.
Collect damage deposits for move-ins/outs.
Perform pre- and post-inspections with residents.
Perform administrative duties (post notices collect funds for additional fobs/keys submit activity reports to the Property Manager).
Monitor and address parking violations and improper use of parking areas.
Maintain consistent communication with the Property Manager to ensure the building is secure maintained and running smoothly.
Submit caretaker reports regularly (frequency as requested by the Property Manager).
Provide excellent service to residents and guests; respond promptly to tenant questions and requests.
Report any concerning issues with tenants/residents to the Property Manager.
Respond to noise and smoking complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in facility management preferably in residential settings.
Reliable and punctual.
Possess a keen eye for detail. Customer service experience is an asset.
Occasional use of equipment such as leaf blowers and pressure washers (full training provided).
Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to take the lead and oversee building operations.
Ability to deal with residents in a professional positive and friendly manner.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to carry weights up to 35 lbs.
Working Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Pay: $24.00 $25.00 per hour
