Job Summary:
The Maintenance Officer Food & Beverage is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment fixtures and infrastructure across the restaurants and food service outlets operated by the Fredley Group of Companies. The role ensures all facilities and kitchen equipment are in excellent working condition comply with health and safety standards and support uninterrupted day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment (e.g. ovens fryers refrigerators freezers dishwashers etc.) and HVAC systems.
Perform timely repairs of malfunctioning equipment plumbing electrical systems lighting and restaurant fixtures.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair records for each location.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from restaurant/store managers to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs when needed.
Ensure all outlets are operationally ready and safe before daily opening times.
Ensure all maintenance activities meet food safety health and fire safety standards.
Maintain compliance with local building codes and health regulations.
Identify potential hazards and correct them proactively.
Track and manage inventory of tools spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Recommend procurement of replacement parts or new equipment when necessary.
Assist in asset tagging and maintenance of kitchen infrastructure records.
Support fit-out renovation or expansion projects by assisting in equipment installation and site readiness.
Work with the project team to ensure proper handover of new restaurant locations.
