Are you interested in joining the world of international storage and distribution of bulk liquids tankers terminals aquaculture & LNG Stolt-Nielsens fast growing Global Shared Service Centre is looking for a Marine Payroll Associate.
Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL) is the specialist storage and transportation provider for bulk liquids: chemicals clean petroleum gases vegetable oils biofuels and oleochemicals. What you will be doing
An Associate is responsible for providing financial and management accounting assistance to the division or office he/ she supports focusing on executing regular deliverables according to SLA.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit balance sheet reconciliation report on time
Prepare accurate journal entries and accruals
Submit actual vs budget analysis on time
Preparation of desktop procedures of processes
Attends to operational internal and external audit requirements
Handling basic issues and/or exception items and queries from employees counterparts marine crew and/ or their beneficiaries
Participate in the meetings and share knowledge with the team especially in initiating and suggesting process improvements
Handling queries from counterparts and customers (internal) and escalate any issues which needs immediate resolution to the Team Leader / Supervisor
Ensure that the appropriate internal controls are in place and in compliance with Stolt Nielsens Policies & Procedures with IFRS or the applicable GAAP and with relevant government or regulatory authorities
Other tasks which may be assigned by his/ her Supervisor/ Manager including projects to improve systems and processes
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting or any finance-related course
At least 2 years relevant experience in general accounting reconciliation and analysis (experience in shared-service industry is desirable)
Knowledge and experience in handling marine payroll accounting in a multinational or shared service environment
Knowledge and experience in handling global crew payroll
Business process migration experience an advantage
Experience in Oracle and/or Bassnet HR Manager systems are desirable
Ability to identify areas of improvement to work effectiveness and efficiency and drive necessary action to completion exposure to process improvements (LEAN/Six Sigma) is an advantage
