Payroll Officer

About the Role:

This is a permanent full-time role (32 hours per week) - and were all about flexibility (within reason of course). Want to work 4 days a week with Fridays off Or maybe shorter hours over 5 days so you can handle the school run stress-free Or simply beating the traffic to get home earlyIts your choice.

In this role youll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time every time. Youll also partner with People & Culture (P&C) and Finance to ensure compliance and help drive continuous improvement in our payroll systems and processes.

Qualifications :

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll for weekly and salaried staff across NZ.
• Maintain employee records and ensure accurate payroll data in line with legislation and internal policy.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll-related reports including PAYE KiwiSaver and leave liabilities.
• Work closely with P&C and Finance teams to resolve queries and provide payroll insight.
• Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and champion compliance and accuracy.

About You:

• Minimum 2 years of NZ payroll experience you know how payroll in New Zealand works and are confident navigating related legislation.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE KiwiSaver Holidays Act and general payroll best practice.
• Experience using payroll systems (Datacom/other) and strong Excel skills.
• A high level of attention to detail numbers are your thing and you get them right.
• A proactive problem solver with great communication skills.
