The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire an Account Technician I to perform technical accounting work and maintain a complex set of detailed books in an established accounting system for the Illinois School for the Deaf. This position assists in preparing reports and financial statements for grant funding along with working with the supervisor in resolving discrepancies and reconciling accounts using the state of Illinois accounting system. The incumbent will also proofread payroll and process payments once time sheets are verified.
*Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
