POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager the Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions analyzing financial data and ensure accurate and timely reporting on multiple large scale construction projects. This position is considered an integral role with the expectation of direct experience and education in construction and accounting strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is an asset.
- 5 years of relevant experience in project accounting in the construction industry is required.
- Strong financial management acumen: advanced knowledge of accounting procedures and protocols budget administration financial forecasting analysis and reporting
- Proven high degree of accuracy effective time management strong organizational skills
- Relevant understanding of construction management principles and processes
- Strong skills in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Strong skills in Box Jonas Construction (an asset) or other ERP experience
- Ability to multi-task prioritize activities and work under pressure
- Results-oriented and ability to take initiative
