Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a Network Operational Risk / Team Manager to join our Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis (MA/ORSA) team in support of the DCDC DoDIN. Location: Fort Meade Maryland. In this position you will be working as hybrid of a cyber expert and a risk manager.
Duties include:
- Support operations research analysis for intelligence cyberspace operations contingency operations and operational-level planning joint and multilateral training exercises and strategic engagement policy.
- Assist JFHQ-DODIN understand identify assess and manage risks effecting the secure operation and defensibility of cyberspace
- Help analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of systems to obtain a quantitative rational basis for decision-making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques.
- Lead and define operational risk assessments and analyses by DAO Sector and defined terrain segments;
- Coordinate with DODIN AOs sector commanders/directors and other stakeholders to identify and understand the customers. cyber relevant risk remediation strategies tolerance and other factors.
- Define and document analysis factors risk reporting criteria and risk categories
- Incorporate risk assessments options and issues and results from wargaming/analyses in collaboration with DoD stakeholders.
- Responsible for the successful technical schedule and cost performance of the project/program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies procedures and guidelines.
- Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by leading major proposals personally or through subordinate program/project managers.
- Supervises professional and technical personnel performing in projects disciplines.
- Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
- Develops Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services.
- Monitors contract subcontract and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance. Develop and deliver required contract departmental project and/or financial reports.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA12 years. Will consider HS 16 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be familiar with documenting analysis factors risk reporting criteria and risk categories applicable to the lowest required echelons through mission area and battlespace owners up through the highest required echelons of DoD command & control structures.
- Must have experience incorporating risk assessments options and issues and results from wargaming/analyses as well as be comfortable with collaborating with DoD stakeholders e.g. DISA National Security Agency USCYBERCOM Service Components DAOs OPCA DOD CIO Joint Staff and Program offices.
- Must have a full complete and in-depth understanding of all aspects of Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a variety of formats.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work periodically on shift to assist the team.
- Must have the following Specialized Certifications -- One of DoD IAT II or higher (SSCP CCNA-Security GSEC Security CE).
- U.S citizenship required.
- Active DOD TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized Certifications -- One of DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level III or higher.
- Experience in developing complex dashboards reports and automated searches in Splunk ArcSight or Elastic/Kibana.
- Experience performing data collection and analysis; conducting/producing studies on DODIN terrain types (IT IAPs cloud CDS encryption mission partner environment etc.) capabilities (security devices tools etc.) data management and other issues pertaining to the protection and resilience of the DODIN and specific areas thereof.
- Experience with data from systems such as Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) Secure SMADSS Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRSS) System Network Approval Process Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) Big Data Platform (BDP) DoD information Technology Repository (DITPR) and other authoritative data sources as required.
- Familiarity with Git and VScode.

Target Salary Range
$135000 - $216000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
