Key Qualifications:

  • Succession Planning: Will be trained to handle dual roles with potential for upward mobility.
  • System Engagement: Preference for internal candidates committed to longevity and system-wide involvement.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and Volgistics (volunteer scheduling records queries reporting).
  • Reporting: Experience preparing annual reports for both system and regional leadership.
  • Critical Thinking: Able to make quick decisions and reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with frequent change and shifting priorities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Connect with volunteers across all age groups (1490) including individuals with disabilities; facilitate accommodations.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and events.
  • Event Coordination: Lead fundraisers social events and auxiliary activities.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with potential for growth into higher-level roles.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts recruitment selection and training of volunteers
  • Coordinates the schedules and daily activities of volunteers
  • Liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match needs of department with skills of volunteers
  • May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Two yearsexperience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting standing walking reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
