Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject: 6-12 CML TEACHER LEADER DUO 25-26 Introduction: The purpose of the CML Teacher Leader Duo is to design and develop Common Assessments align them with curriculum standards map them to appropriate language proficiency levels and ensure assessments cover writing reading listening and speaking skills. Objective: To use curriculum-aligned assessments administered at multiple points in the course to monitor student progress toward standards inform instructional adjustments measure growth over time and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies and curriculum thereby enhancing learning outcomes throughout the instructional : Platform Experience: Proficient in using the Edcite platform and other educational technology tools to design and deliver assessments. Language Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of multiple world languages. Assessment Development: Prior experience in creating Common Assessments aligned with curriculum standards for world languages. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with a colleague to co-develop assessments. Project Timeline: Must be able to complete the assessment development by June 2026 ensuring readiness for implementation in the upcoming school year. Job Responsibilities:Design and Development: Create Common Assessments that reflect best practices in language Alignment: Ensure all assessments are aligned with district and state curriculum Mapping: Match assessments to appropriate language proficiency Coverage: Incorporate tasks that assess writing reading listening and speaking the assessments are finalized the educator will help train CML staff to navigate and administer them. This initiative aims to foster cohesive instructional practices across the department and enhance student learning Dates:TBD once Teacher Leader Duo is assembledFunding Source: Title 2 Funding Compensation: Teachers will be allotted 30 hours each to work outside of the contractual day and completion of deliverables. Teachers will receive PDPs for facilitating trainings/PD/CAPT (Common Assessment Practical Training).
