Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab (Contract)
Location: New York NY
Contract Duration:3 Month
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM 3 shifts per week (11.5 hrs each)
Hours:34.5 per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a contract assignment. The RN will provide advanced patient care and nursing expertise during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires both scrub and circulate experience in the Cath Lab and strong critical care knowledge to manage complex cases.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization.
Scrub and circulate in Cath Lab procedures assisting physicians with angioplasty stent placement and other interventions.
Monitor patient status before during and after procedures including hemodynamic assessments and sedation management.
Administer medications safely and respond quickly to emergencies.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
Collaborate with physicians technologists and healthcare staff to support optimal outcomes.
Follow all infection control safety and hospital standards.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required).
Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care nursing experience.
Cardiac Cath Lab experience required including scrub and circulate.
BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
Strong critical thinking communication and rapid-response skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Schedule & Compensation:
Contract Length:3 months (with possibility of extension).
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM 3 shifts per week.
Hours per Week:34.5.
