REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONLEVEL:

Two years post-secondary education.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation operations school systems or logistics required. Experience with routing software and GPS tracking systems is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination hearing; intermittent keyboarding use of wrists hands fingers speaking typing and writing. Frequent filing sitting standing and walking.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Google Workspace and transportation management software (Transfinder)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

  1. Operate and manage district transportation settings and procedures using Routefinder and boundary software systems.
  2. Maintain current attendance boundary maps and update them as needed.
  3. Maintain and manage historical data annexed property records and pilot boundary information.
  4. Provides accurate boundary information and support to internal staff and the general public.
  5. Independently update and manage boundary-related data within the Routefinder software.
  6. Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Routefinder to support transportation planning reporting and decision-making processes.
  7. Maintains bus route information and reports student ridership/bus counts.
  8. Serve as the primary contact for student bus and express transportation changes and requests.
  9. Create and manage district-wide transportation timelines; provide updates to schools and vendors.
  10. Provide transportation-related training and support to district staff.
  11. Coordinate transportation communications and reports for schools and families.
  12. Work with the District IT team to manage transportation data imports and system updates.
  13. Audits bus vendor billing and documentation (requires use of Microsoft Access).
  14. Coordinate transportation reimbursements for eligible families.
  15. Support student preparation and access to transportation services through the budget process.
  16. Assist with maintaining transportation policy and procedure documentation.
  17. Coordinate with schools to manage student bus badges GPS software and apps (e.g. Stopfinder).
  18. Schedule and support field trip transportation requests.
  19. Ensure student transportation data is accurately reflected in Infinite Campus.
  20. Maintain and distribute district brochures maps and information for the district website.
  21. Create and distribute internal transportation memos (start/dismissal times feeder school info winter weather plans).
  22. Perform additional duties as assigned.

PAY INFORMATION

Specialist - Level MX starting at $28.89 per hour

Pay Day: Last working day of each month.

HOURS & FTE

Monday through Friday7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break

1.0 FTE 40 hours per week 12 months
