Job Summary

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Client: Virginia Information Technology

Location:HYBRID - Candidate must be within driving distance of Richmond VA and able to come on-site on short notice.

Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities
Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is looking to hire a Project Manager 2 to assist our ePMO department in the overall department project management. The Project Manager designs plans and coordinates work teams from different divisions within the ELECT Department. ELECT works with an Agile Framework and familiarity with those methodologies are a plus.

Candidates will follow standard project management industry practices such as the
PMIs framework. Understand business and technical objectives of a project and work closely with the project sponsor. Create project charter and work plan and track budget and schedule progress via
appropriate metrics. Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans. Manages scope. Creates and
implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team assigns tasks to team members and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources. Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsors. Identifies tracks and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
