Title:Staffing Associate

Location: Towson MD (Onsite/Hybrid)

Duration: 2 Years (with high possibility of extension)

Note:The position will be in person at Towson MD 21204. After one month the client may consider a hybrid work location at the sole discretion of the client. A hybrid work location is not preferred. The client will not consider a fully remote candidate.

JobDuties:

  • Provides assistance to the HR Supervisor/Analyst in the screening processing and recruiting of non-certificated personnel.
  • Coordinates the orderly flow of work within the office. Initiates collaboration among team members to develop and improve processes related to administrative duties and assignments.
  • Serves as a liaison to applicants employees administrators and other BCPS schools and offices regarding vacancies posting and recruitment processes for non-certificated positions.
  • Assists HR Supervisors/Analysts with recruitment schedule travel preparation and coordination of logistics for each event to include booking and confirming reservations communication with others attending gathering of materials etc.
  • Gathers and assembles information used to prepare vacancy announcements for non-certificated vacancies.
  • Screens applicant pools to determine that established criteria and minimum requirements are met. Schedules candidates for interview. Assists HR Supervisors/Analysts with other aspects of the employment process. .
  • Facilitates the process on interview days either on-site or off-site locations to ensure efficiency for both the candidates and interviewers.
  • Ensures that candidate pools are maintained updating information to ensure department heads and hiring managers receive accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Assists HR Supervisor/Analyst with follow-up communication and facilitation of activities with regard to priority transfers and the declaration of intent process.
  • Assists with the coordination of various recruitment and staffing initiatives and programs to ensure responsive communication with candidates and rapport with partnering institution job development centers etc.
  • Receives investigates and resolves HR information Applicant Tracking Onboarding and other related system issues and concerns.
  • Assists in developing materials for meetings presentations or training in support of the Office of Staffing
  • Provides back-up support to administrative secretary and other team members as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited college with an associates degree plus five years of progressively responsible administrative level experience. Experience utilizing strong human relations skills in the performance of administrative and complex clerical duties required.

Experience working with human resources processes and staffing related matters is preferred. Coursework training and experiences with HR related laws regulations and compliance preferred.

Note: Other combinations of applicable education training and experience that provide the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of human resources practices related laws and regulations BCPS policies and procedures and master agreement provisions.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Knowledge of personal computers.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint).
  • Skill in setting up and maintaining electronic database and paper filing systems.
  • Skill in gathering and compiling information for reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be client focused and detail oriented. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills a self-starter who can work independently on many diversified tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a very fluid environment with guidelines but significant variation.
