Job Summary
Coating Team Lead 2nd Shift
Location: Lake in the Hills IL
Schedule: MondayFriday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Compensation: Starting at $19.00/hr $2.50 Shift Differential
We are seeking a Coating Team Lead to support our Coating department by operating coating equipment maintaining quality standards and providing leadership and direction to the team. This role combines hands-on production responsibilities with team coordination to ensure safety efficiency and high-quality output.
What Youll Do
- Perform all duties of a Machine Operator III.
- Lead and support operators to ensure safe efficient production.
- Train and cross-train team members on equipment and processes.
- Oversee job setup and verify correct materials and mixes.
- Monitor production quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Record and report shift data including quality and downtime.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Prepare PTFE mixes accurately and on time.
- Foster a positive team-focused environment.
- Ensure ERP inventory transactions are completed correctly.
- Rotate workstations as needed.
- Lead training efforts and drive continuous improvement.
What Youll Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or team-lift up to 100 lbs)
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification
- Prior manufacturing or coating experience
