We are looking for a Construction Manager to oversees and advise on all matters related to the day-to-day operation of Pacific Energys construction sites. This role will focus on providing leadership technical advice direction and coaching to site-based leaders to deliver optimal construction practices.
You will oversee and support a variety of construction staff while working collaboratively with key stakeholders from conception through to completion. The key focus is on executing the physical construction phase including WBS Labour cost management and scheduling.

To be part of the change this role will have
Oversight and support to the delivery of construction projects and activities including but not limited to:
- Support and coach site teams in the execution of quality standards and safety procedures.
- Internal Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Monitor construction risks and implements mitigation strategies
- Support and coach site leaders in the coordination of staff activity on the worksite and driving productivity of overall site performance and the construction process.
- Advise site leaders on the coordination of resources procurement and delivery of materials plant and equipment including liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Be actively engaged in the early stages of contractor selection and subcontractor agreements right through to contractor management at a site level to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Collaborate with key internal resources suppliers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Reviewing project reporting metrics in conjunction with Project Managers and driving improvement across all key KPI measures.
- In conjunction with Project Managers and Site leaders review provide guidance and monitor the project schedule to ensure actual progress reflects planned progress.
- Support Site Leaders in monitoring and driving the proactive management of people-hours against budget and schedule.
- Be an active participant in the development of Project schedules budgets and design principles including constructability and control philosophy.
BE this person
As part of the solution you will be:
- Relevant Trade or Engineering qualification and a minimum of 10 years experience in the Construction industry.
- A proven history in the construction and delivery of Power Generation projects.
- Be a strategic thinker: can see the big picture and anticipate future outcomes and align the goals of their division/function with the long-term vision. Makes decisions that position the function/division for success.
- Have financial acumen: Understands budgeting forecasting and financial reporting and makes data-driven decisions to optimise profitability.
- Strong Project Management: Manage timelines resources and deliverables effectively and uses tools and methodologies like Agile and Lean when appropriate.
- Risk Management Experience: able to identify potential risks and develops mitigation strategies and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
