Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Ophthalmic Technicianfor an exciting job in New York NY.

Responsibilities

Perform preliminary screening exams for physician review including:
- Visual field (central & peripheral)
- Ocular motility tests
- Color vision and pharmacological pupil testing
- Tonometry tonography and other intraocular pressure testing
Collect medical history chart patient information and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures.
Arrange laboratory tests ophthalmic photography outpatient studies admissions and surgeries.
Calibrate maintain and sterilize ophthalmic instruments (slit lamps keratometers tonometers lensometers).
Assist with minor office surgeries laser treatments and OR procedures as required.
Stock and maintain exam rooms and labs with necessary supplies.
Clearly explain diagnostic procedures and treatment methods to patients and families.
Support physicians and clinical staff with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certification: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (required).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ophthalmic technician experience.
Skills: Strong communication patient care abilities and proficiency with ophthalmic instruments.
