Job Summary
Job Title: Monitor Technician
Location: Jamaica NY 11432
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Evening Shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Pay Range: $23 $26 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a Monitor Technician to support patient care in an acute care healthcare setting. This role is responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring accurate rhythm interpretation and timely communication of changes in patient status to the clinical care team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring for assigned patients
Accurately interpret EKG rhythms and identify abnormalities
Monitor and document vital signs as required
Promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Maintain proper operation of telemetry and monitoring equipment
Adhere to hospital policies procedures and patient safety standards
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
Experience monitoring and recording vital signs
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize cardiac rhythm changes
Effective communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education & Certifications
AHA BLS certification (required)
EKG certification (required)
