Role description:
Arcadis is in search of an experienced Project Water Engineer specializing in water management and climate adaptation to join our Resilience Water team inSan Francisco! This position will be based in our San Francisco CA office.
As a Project Water Engineer you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to executea variety of water projects. You will also manage design teams and mentor junior engineers in our San Francisco or Sacramento CA offices.
This role sits within our global business area of Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world were feeling the effects of climate change rapid urbanization and loss of biodiversity. The rate at which were seeing large-scale unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent.
Role accountabilities:
As a Project Water Engineer you will be critical in driving client development and strategic positioning while creating compelling proposals and presentations for water management and climate adaptation projects. You will collaborate with Area Leaders and Client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates establishing a framework for successful and profitable project execution. Additionally you will manage risks assemble high-performing project teams and oversee key activities to ensure project success.
Your responsibilities will include leading clients and projects through water management and climate adaptation planning processes including geospatial analyses H&H modeling participating in technical meetings and developing concept through full design for related implementation projects. Understanding of local and statewide water quality flood and shoreline related regulations guidance and standards is strongly preferred. Strong writing presentation and communication skills are required. You will also manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules while guiding project teams to deliver on milestones.
Regular interaction with clients will be essential to identify their needs and provide effective solutions. You will support the development of junior engineers and design/drafting technical staff coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams and help in the development of projects from inception to completion. Ensuring compliance with all Arcadis guidelines quality and safety standards will be a priority. Some travel may be necessary for client meetings project site visits and related activities.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $134000 - $165000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
