POSITION: Long-Term Substitute:Middle SchoolTeacher (Grade 6)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NH elementary teacher certification (K-6 or K-8) or proof of eligibility for NH certification
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Experience preferred but not required
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To provide all students with a quality educational program in which they reach their full potential
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and prepare instruction based upon District curriculum and student needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development
- Provide instruction in all core academic areas in assigned grade (literacy mathematics science and social studies) following district curriculum setting high and attainable outcomes
- Design and use assessment data to monitor progress of all students towards established standards maintaining accurate records
- Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning
- Manage classroom procedures and student behavior
- Communicate with students and their families
- Collaborate with other educators within the school and across the District
- Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications
- Actively participate within the professional community growing professionally reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism
- Follow District policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by the principal
