About this Job



At the Louisiana State Police our mission is to safeguard communities and strengthen trust by maintaining accurate secure and accessible criminal justice information. Were seeking a Criminal Records Auditor to join the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII)the states central repository for criminal history records.


Criminal Records Auditors play a critical role in ensuring that sensitive criminal justice data is accessed used and maintained in compliance with state and federal laws as well as Department policy. This work supports the integrity of information contained within systems such as the Louisiana Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (LLETS) Nlets the International Justice and Public Safety Network and the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Divisions National Crime Information Center (NCIC) while also ensuring proper access to LLETS.

If you are detail-oriented analytical and committed to accountability and compliance this opportunity offers meaningful work that directly supports law enforcement agencies across Louisiana and ensures the accuracy and security of critical public safety data.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been in law enforcement; or compiling analyzing or processing criminal history fingerprinting records or crash report information:

Five years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the general experience.

Job Duties:

As a Criminal Records Auditor at BCII you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance accountability and security in the use of Louisianas criminal justice information this role you will:


Position Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional

Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression group.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.

Compensation:This position is eligible for premium pay of up to $2.00 per hour. The salary ranges between a minimum of $42952 to a maximum of $84302.
