Job Title Operational Risk Management (ORM) - Environmental Social & Governance (ESG)

Operational Risk Management (ORM) is a department within the Risk Division. As a Second Line of Defence function ORM is responsible for oversight across all aspects of non-financial risk including risk identification and assessment control framework risk appetite and scenario analysis.

You will be responsible for the integration and ongoing risk management of ESG within the ORM frameworks including the associated policies policy adherence metrics reporting and minimum control standards.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting the continued integration of ESG into the Banks operational risk control frameworks including scenarios the thematic approach with controls and metrics and contextual data.
  • Ongoing development and monitoring of the Operational Risk framework related to ESG.
  • Playing a key role in the ownership of the associated ESG and reputational risk policy documents
  • Working closely with the Reputational Risk and ESG team on changes to the respective frameworks and with the Mumbai team on framework adherence and reporting.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across businesses and control functions

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in the financial sector with similar analysis and risk roles in the operational risk space
  • Demonstrable experience in an ESG-related risk and controls focussed role in the financial sector
  • Strong knowledge of key regulations related to ESG and experience in the implementation requirements.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills ability to build constructive partnerships with diverse stakeholders and challenge where required
  • Ideally operational risk experience and knowledge particularly from a framework risk and controls perspective
  • Ability to work across a diverse group of stakeholders within a complex organisation and to quickly develop strong working relationships with a broad range of functions
