Assembler 1st (Light Duty Assembly)

Rate: $17.25

Role Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Specialties Production Supervisor. Provides excellent customer service by assuring daily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am-3pm
What Youll Do:
- Assuredaily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Assembleand/or buildcorrugated and returnable kits according to customer specifications utilizing tools necessary to complete product according to specifications. Tools include but are not limited to hot melt guns cold glue box knives tape staple guns and product banding equipment.
- Assurecompleted product meets specifications of customer needs.
- Assurecustomer expectations are consistently met in terms of quality quantity and product is produced in a timely manner consistent with established guidelines.
- May be required to provide training for new personnel.
- Maintainexcellent housekeeping and general organization in the converting production areas.
- Supportand providesuggestions for continuous improvement activities to improve processes and procedures.
- Maintain a consistent positive attendance point status.
- Supportand adhereto internal quality and safety programs.
Things to know:
- Demonstrated ability to perform and document all ISO Quality checks required.
- Willingness and ability to learn new computer software.
- Thorough understanding of spec cards and correction of non-conforming product procedures.
- Thorough understanding of Standard Work Instructions.

What Youll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 months working experience in a factory environment preferred.
- Must possess proficient communication skills in the English language in reading writing and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and decimal addition and subtraction.
- Must possess ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
- Ability to lift bend stand and twist over a long period of time.
- Must possess strong interpersonal organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to maintain diplomacy confidentiality and tact essential as individual has access to high levels of cost design and company sensitive materials.
- Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for extended number of hours per shift walk bend stoop squat and use hands to handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
- The employee is required to reach with hands and arms to complete assembly tasks.
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand wrist and arm motions including gripping and manipulating small components.
- The employee must regularly lift push or pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
