About the role

The Tackling Violence and Exploitation Team is a high-risk complex area of practice. The post holder will lead coordinate and drive Barnets multi-agency Serious Violence Strategy and Violence Reduction Plan working with key stakeholders including police health probation housing and voluntary and charity sector organisations.



About you

You will have:

  • An in depth knowledge and understanding of the legislative and policy framework for tackling serious youth/adult violence gangs criminal exploitation county lines offender management child exploitation gang and knife crime.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of responding to the issues of crime community safety offender management youth violence or victim support.
  • Experience of writing delivering and monitoring strategies multi-agency action plans Committee reports and service delivery plans.
  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills.
  • An ability at a higher level to plan projects and tasks in a structured way monitoring progress against plans and can embed these into working practice.
  • Experience of Chairing partnership meetings leading and participating and recommending actions/interventions for change.
  • Excellent organisational skills prioritising work load and the ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  • The ability to work effectively in a political environment and establish positive relationships with councillors senior managers staff external partners and interest groups in a way that establishes confidence credibility and trust.
