Project Connect
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education Social Work Psychology or related field preferred
- Experience working with young children and families of various economic cultural and educational backgrounds
- Ability to work independently; schedule flexibility required; own transportation necessary
Reports to: Project Connect CFCE Coordinator
Job Goal: To provide education and support to parents of young children promote school
readiness strengthens the school/family connection and foster a sense of
community.
Job Reponsibilities:
- Facilitate parent/child playgroups and activities that are developmentally appropriate at the center and in the community
- Provide parenting workshops and education that focus on a variety of topics including early literacy positive discipline nutrition etc.
- Participate in outreach activities to promote the program and recruit new families.
- Administer ASQ ASQ-SE screenings help parents understand their childs development
- Make referrals and connect parents to available resources in the community
- Provide transition supports among the early childhood mixed delivery system including the Attleboro Public Schools
- Participate in professional development to promote personal and professional growth
- Accept all other reasonable responsibilities
Work Year: Per contract grant funded
