Staff Accountant Construction Accounting (Entry-Level to Mid-Level)

This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in construction accounting working alongside a collaborative finance team.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and subcontractor payment processing
- Support accounts receivable and cash receipt entries
- Help maintain subcontractor documentation (e.g. lien waivers contracts)
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and invoice workflows
- Contribute to sales and use tax filings
- Participate in weekly check runs and audit preparation
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls
- Collaborate with project teams and accounting leadership
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- 13 years of accounting experience (internships or project accounting a plus)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn construction accounting systems and practices
- Oracle J.D. Edwards AS400 World
- Tungsten Workflow
- Oracle Textura Payment Management
- Autodesk Project Management
- Microsoft Outlook
- Office-based with moderate noise levels
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs) stair climbing and use of standard office equipment
- Eligible for telework per company policy with supervisor approval
