Location: Edison NJ
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $35$40 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Sourcing/Procurement Specialist with strong expertise in supplier negotiations contract management and cost-saving initiatives in the healthcare field. The ideal candidate will bring 7 years of experience in procurement and hold a Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification.
Identify cost savings through contract negotiation with GPOs or vendors.
Lead the RFP process and support departments in supplier selection.
Source and negotiate contracts across diverse product categories.
Identify alternate suppliers in urgent or high-priority situations.
Partner with domestic and global suppliers to support supply chain objectives.
Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and maintain vendor relationships.
Collaborate with Value Analysis and internal stakeholders on savings opportunities.
Implement cost-saving initiatives across departments.
Work with Pricing/Data Integrity teams to ensure pricing accuracy.
Manage contract documentation with Legal and maintain systems with updates.
Support buyers in resolving pricing discrepancies.
Identify substitute products during recalls or shortages.
Ensure procurement terms are comprehensive and compliant with Legal guidance.
Participate in workflow/process improvement initiatives.
Track analyze and report cost savings by period.
Use Google tools to analyze supplier/category spend.
Act as liaison for procurement-related inquiries.
Support branding and standardization initiatives for products/services.
Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum 7 years of procurement/sourcing experience (healthcare industry).
CMRP Certification is required.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent time management; ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel within New Jersey as needed.
