The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine Department of Periodontics invites applications for a full-time position Academic Clinician Track at the Assistant/ Associate or Full Professor level. The position calls for a person who can build and maintain the departments reputation nationally and internationally through excellence in teaching research and service in Periodontics. Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students supervising patient care provided by the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. Applicants must be eligible or certified by the American Board of Periodontology and must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania dental license. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous teaching experience. Clinical practice within the University may be available.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications for this position include (1) DMD/DDS degree or equivalent; (2) certificate of advanced training in Periodontics from a CODA approved program; (3) eligibility or certification from the American Board of Periodontology; (4) experience in the management of periodontal patient care and teaching.
