Job Title: Accounting Analyst
Salary: 30200 to 32000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Shrewsbury Shropshire

About IPSD
Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) has worldwide responsibility for the design and manufacturing of 0.5L-18L engines as well as worldwide responsibility for sales support and marketing of industrial engines 0.5-64L and Caterpillar Defense. IPSD products are sustainably manufactured marketed sold and supported under the Cat and Perkins brands including diesel gas alternative fuels hybrids and electric solutions. IPSDs portfolio also includes the Energy & Transportation Procurement organization which is responsible for sourcing strategies throughout the lifecycle of our products and services. Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the Caterpillar Defense Business Resources team as an
Accounting Analyst at our facility in Shrewsbury.
Your primary responsibilities include working directly with the local Business Resources
Team completing general financial accounting tasks - basic analysis work processing journal
entries reconciliations and generating reports. This position will also work directly with the
central Shared Services team to provide Accounts Payable support for the site.
What You Will Do:
Preparation of monthly General Ledger journal entries
Preparation of monthly General Ledger account reconciliations
Preparation of monthly Intercompany reconciliations and timely resolution of differences
Preparation of supplier payment runs 3 per month
Review of Accounts Payable Ledger including working closely with central shared
services team to quickly identify and resolve issues
Providing support to the wider business / supply base to ensure prompt resolution of
supplier payment queries
What Skills You Have:

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis;

solutions that resolve these problems.

techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas
information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing
anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to
apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to
manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective
judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Bachelors degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline or qualified by
experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at
all levels
Effective organization skills accountability and the ability to resolve issues both
independently and with other colleagues / teams.
