The duties of this position include: (1) developing and sustaining an externally funded research program leading to national and international recognition; (2) teaching and mentoring undergraduates graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; (3) performing service activities commensurate with the position.
Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will meet the minimum qualifications and as many preferred qualifications as possible:
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment
Demonstrated potential for high-quality research including securing research funding and generating high-quality publications
Preferred Qualifications
Post-doctoral research experience
Demonstrated potential for high-quality teaching and service to the department university and profession
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Collaborative and interdisciplinary synergy with existing strengths on campus
Excellent communication skills
Strong commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate education
