Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a full-time (tenure track option) Addiction Psychiatrist to join a developing program in addiction treatment and research. The position is at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor.



Responsibilities

The position consists of addiction clinical care clinical supervision of trainees teaching and protected time for clinical addiction research.

Provide supervision and teaching of residents and students.



Qualifications
  • Unrestricted medical license at time of appointment
  • MD DO or equivalent degree required.
  • Completion of an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship with board eligibility or board certification in Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or completion of an Addiction Medicine Fellowship with board eligibility or board certification (non-fellowship pathway board certification in Addiction Medicine is accepted) in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive is required.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising trainees and working in inpatient outpatient partial hospital or intensive outpatient settings.
  • Strong clinical skills excellent communication abilities and a commitment to teaching and mentorship.
