POSITION SUMMARY
The Parts Person will play a key role in supporting internal and external customers to ensure timely and cost-efficient sourcing of parts materials and consumables for the heavy equipment industry. The Parts Person will have a passion for providing excellent customer service by accurately identifying the customers needs providing product solutions and processing orders in a timely manner. The Parts Person must possess positive communications and interpersonal skills have strong mechanical knowledge and be able to use a computer to access product information and pricing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiveparts requests by email. telephone walk-ins and internal parts requisitions.
- Analyze internal inventory OEM and After-market websites and other sources in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
- Determine replacement parts required according to inspection of old parts technician and customer requests and customer descriptions of malfunctions.
- Issue purchase orders complete received documentation create invoices submit paperwork to accounting.
- Process payments or obtain credit authorization.
- Monitor inventory stock levels and replenish when required.
- Receive parts returns and cores examine for defects and process transactions accordingly.
- Loading and unloading of deliveries using a Forklift Skid Steer or Telehandler. Verify all items received match Bills of Lading. Reconcile all documentation and submit to Accounting.
EDUCATION SKILLS EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working in a Parts department with an ERP or equivalent system.
- Completion of Secondary School or combination of school and work related experience
- Speak read and write English fluently. Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Knowledge of import and export shipping requirements and procedures.
- Valid drivers license with minimal demerits and no suspensions DUIs or distracted driving offenses. Drivers abstract required.
- Ability to operate equipment (i.e. forklift Telehandler skid steer) with training provided by Headwater
- Strong time management and organizational experience
- Exceptional inside sales and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- This is an In-Person office environment. Some tasks will be conducted outdoors
- 8 Hour work day Monday to Friday. Overtime available when demand requires it.
- Regularly required to lift items weighing up to 22kgs.
