Job Title: Project Engineer FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Technical Services Reports To: Director PMO JOB SUMMARY The Project Services Engineer position will model the Netrio mission vision and values each day functioning as a guide for daily accountabilities and responsibilities. This role will concentrate on leading the implementation of new hardware and solutions and the research and development of project proposals. This role includes creating and vetting project sales proposals creating implementation plans and coordinating schedules with the client and Project Manager completing new solution implementations and providing escalation support to other Project Technicians and Project Engineers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate Netrios core values and culture through daily work and expectations. Maintain concise communication within the Netrio team. Contribute to the overall success of the team and the organization. Work closely with teammates to develop an exceptional Technical Operations department. Provide recommendations and decisions on project urgency influencing priorities for project delivery. Provide feedback on day-to-day interactions with individual technicians teams and customers. Foster a collaborative approach with the Client Services Team to support the overall progress of Operations. KEY COMPETENCIES Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of engineering installation and support for technical projects involving firewalls switches wireless solutions and servers. Problem-Solving Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently. Project Management Ability to manage project workflows timelines and deliverables ensuring projects are completed on time within scope and budget.
Collaboration Works effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales Support and Project Management to ensure successful project execution. Communication Clear and concise in both written and verbal communication especially in conveying technical information to non-technical clients. Continuous Improvement Focus on automating processes and improving efficiencies using scripting and other tools along with a commitment to learning new technologies and methods. Client-Centric Mindset Demonstrates a commitment to client satisfaction by providing timely support clear expectations and high-quality technical solutions. QUALIFICATIONS Required: 5 years of technical support helpdesk or field experience preferred Microsoft Certified (MCSE certification) or equivalent technical experience and expertise Proven ability in technical troubleshooting and resolving complex issues Ability to recognize when technical issues require escalation or additional support Strong experience in the implementation and support of technical projects involving hardware such as firewalls switches wireless solutions and servers Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information to clients and internal teams Experience following written procedures and thoroughly documenting work Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to project success Ability to pay attention to detail while considering the bigger picture Willingness to take ownership of job responsibilities and work independently as needed Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical installation of equipment at customer sites Valid Drivers License reliable automobile and valid insurance Preferred: Experience in the cybersecurity or managed services industry Experience with tools like Ingram Line of Business SolarWinds ConnectWise ServiceNow and SharePoint Familiarity with scripting and automation of project processes to improve efficiencies Experience in working with vendors coordinating deliveries and managing project proposals
