Job Description Summary
Position: Skilled Labor
Pay Range: $24.09 $25.59/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and clean each machine or process efficiently.
- Maintain product quality and ensure proper packaging.
- Set up packaging coders and validate product codes per specifications.
- Identify and report out-of-spec product conditions following notification protocols.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments using hand tools.
- Safely operate a lift truck to move materials as needed.
- Accurately complete production records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other operators to ensure maximum line efficiency.
- Perform changeovers CIP adjustments and minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain quality and efficiency while following all safety and GMP guidelines.
- Perform housekeeping duties within established standards.
- Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Preferred: Experience in food manufacturing warehousing or dairy production.
- Strong math and computer skills (SAP experience is a plus).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Physical Demands
- Work in environments with noise temperature changes (hot cold wet humid) and around manufacturing equipment.
- Frequent standing walking bending stooping and stair climbing.
- Manual dexterity gripping squeezing and fine manipulation.
- Visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors.
- Work with chemicals using PPE and approved handling procedures.
