Under the leadership of the Special Programs Manager plan direct and implement immunization assessment and quality improvement activities and visits at Immunization Quality Improvement for Provider (IQIP) enrolled sites across the State of Arizona. Work involves planning developing and implementing activities for the IQIP Program on policies and procedures; training and education and programmatic management. Communicates with staff at Arizonas Vaccine for Children (VFC) enrolled sites participating in the IQIP program. Coordinates the execution of state-wide activities for the IQIP Program as well as handles questions concerns issues and requests related to the program. Facilitates strategic management processes and provides expertise and program management for the IQIP Program that are critical in meeting the programs goals. Serves as a subject matter expert for the IQIP Program. Performs other duties as assigned by the Special Programs Manager.
Safe operation of either a state-owned vehicle or personal vehicle is required to conduct state business and an acceptable driving record must be maintained in accordance with ADHS policy.
Provides consultation services to IQIP providers regarding immunization best practices program priorities and performance measures. Reviews evaluates and distributes immunization vaccine coverage assessment rates with IQIP providers. Analyzes data and addresses issues identified during IQIP site visits. (Cont Below)
Communicates with IQIP providers verbally and in writing regarding IQIP notifications updates and site visit follow-ups. Coordinates the development of site visit protocols for the IQIP Program. Assists the team lead and/or manager with the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at developing IQIP Program policies procedures manuals and standards.
Performs selection of sites for review using data on previous site visits and IQIP visits conducted. Actively participates in phone calls and attends training on IQIP facilitated by the CDC. Oversees the collection organization analysis and preparation of materials in response to requests for program information and reports.(Cont Below)
Prepares brochures and other documents on quality improvement for distribution to staff at IQIP enrolled sites. Responds to healthcare provider inquiries via email and telephone. Assisting the team lead and/or manager with the creation and maintenance of train-the-trainer materials for use statewide.
Assists the team lead and/or manager in providing oversight of the IQIP Program operations. Performs quality improvement activities to improve the IQIP Program and works with the team lead and/or manager to identify and resolve technical and procedural problems. (Cont Below)
Manages or performs technical assistance and quality assurance functions to ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations grant and state priorities and policies and procedures. Prepares and delivers presentations on quality improvement at conferences for internal or external partners.
Works with the team lead and/or manager to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the IQIP Program in Arizona. Works with the team lead and/or manager to identify programmatic needs and provides guidance and recommendations to the team lead and/or manager.

Knowledge of :
-Public health services regional and local service delivery systems federal and state laws rules policies and procedures related to immunization services.
-Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Google Workspace and other relevant software applications.
Knowledge of Performance Management (PM) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies
Skill in:
-Performing quality assurance activities and developing recommendations for improvements.
-Conducting training in person and through online platforms.
-Responding to customer inquiries and handling difficult customers in a tactful manner.
-Planning developing and implementing procedures.
-Developing written materials and training documents.
Ability to:

Bachelors degree in public health healthcare administration social work or related field with 2 years work experience in public health health promotion and education and/or immunizations or a related field.
