Job Summary
Are you an ambitious Science Teacher ready to take the next step in your career An Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Second in Science to join its high-performing department from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent leadership position offering both teaching and responsibility for departmental development.
The Role
Permanent full-time Second in Science position
Start date: January 2026
Teach Science across KS3KS4 with the opportunity to specialise at KS5
Support the Head of Science with curriculum planning assessment and staff development
Play a key role in raising attainment driving innovation and maintaining the departments outstanding reputation
Contribute to extra-curricular provision including STEM clubs and academic enrichment

What Were Looking For
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics
Proven record of excellent classroom practice and student outcomes
Experience contributing to curriculum design and supporting colleagues
Strong leadership potential with the ability to inspire both students and staff
Excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills
Commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of Science
