Job Description

Location- San Antonio TX - Onsite

Job Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking an IT User Support Specialist I to provide technical assistance and support to staff across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-focused mindset excellent communication skills and experience in troubleshooting hardware software and network issues. This role reports to the IT Support Assistant Manager and may involve occasional on-call duty including nights and weekends.

Shift Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to staff inquiries via phone email and chat providing first-level technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware software and network issues guiding users step-by-step.
  • Escalate complex issues to advanced IT support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring new devices software and user accounts.
  • Provide basic training to users on company-supported software and applications.
  • Track manage and maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Update and maintain internal IT documentation and knowledge base.
  • Stay current with technology trends IT best practices and company systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve IT support processes and user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of helpdesk or IT support experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 including Azure Intune and Teams (preferred).
  • IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network) or some college coursework in IT is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems networks and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Must be able to travel to satellite office locations if required.
